Revision Tips!

Updated: May 20, 2018

Its about that time of year when exams come into place. When everyone starts freaking out! In my school we have end of year exams which are to compare how much we have learnt throughout the year. We also have these for our sets the following year, I'm lucky and have been in the A set for both this year and the last. Wether it's your GCSE's, A levels, Sats, revising is one of the most important things. Stressing about exams is the last thing you want. This is why you must stay prepared and organised for exams.

Here are some key tips for revising :) :

1. Start revising early. This is so important to be ahead of your revision timetable. You don't want to be that odd person that leaves it till the last minute. Always start ahead of everyone else for better results.

2. Make a timetable. Timetables are a life saver for staying well organised. It only takes 2 mins max. You can look at your timetable during the day and get cracking as soon as you get home without spending half of your timing wondering what to revise.

3. Sleep on your revision notes. Rumour has it that sleeping on your notes actually helps with remembering certain things. When you wake up the next morning you will realise that all of the content from the notes will have been absorbed into your brain from the previous night.

4. Short breaks. It's very important to give yourself a break after long working periods. However, you must control yourself on the amount of time your give yourself off. I aim to have 30mins of work and then a 10min break.

5. Stick Everywhere. Sticking notes around your house is a brilliant way for remembering things. For example on the mirror whilst you do your hair or brush your teeth. On the fridge every time you get food.

6. Healthy snacks. If your gonna have snacks whilst revising, at least eat something healthy.

7. Colour Coding. This is my favourite techniche for revising, using hilighters or coloured pens to section out your work. Colours help you remember things more because they look more appealing where as if your notes where all in black and white.

Thats all for todays blog post. Hopefully these tips help you out for revision. I wish you all the best of luck for your future exams! Have a fabulous day :)))
